| Welcome to 'Rusty Pins and Old Lace'. We are a family owned business.
My name is Paula. I've been married to the light of life, Alan, for over 20 years now. We have 3 awesome children, and our 1st grandbaby...a boy...Kayden Alan!!
For as long as I can remember I've always wanted my own store....filled with wonderful hand made goodies. But finances and family always seemed to get in the way. I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis 10 years ago and was bed ridden for 8 months before my Dr's found a medication that helped me. For a long time I had to learn how to live with this disease....I spent alot of time feeling sorry for myself.

| It was the Christmas season 9 years ago that changed my outlook on life and once again awoke my dream of one day owning my own shop. I spied a beautiful hand made, very primitive doll sitting in a chair at one of my favorite craft stores......and I just knew I had to take him home. I've always loved the very primitive look...but loved it the most at Christmas time. Because of that doll, I decided to make a few Santa's myself. I've never sewn before this time, except in school...and really didn't like it much, but I dragged out my grandmother's old machine and dove right in. I sold a few of those first dolls on Ebay...and as my 'self belief' started to take hold.....I wanted more!!
SO....5 years ago...'Rusty Pins and Old Lace' came to be!
My first and for most commitment is to you, my customers. I try very hard to have a store like no other, and to carry items that you won't see elsewhere. Quality is most important when it comes to my items. I NEVER carry anything that I wouldn't be excited to have in my own home, and I'm always trying to make your shopping experience more enjoyable.
